For Fall Winter 2008-2009 Jasmin wanted to “Rendre hommage” and bring back the essence of Jim Morrison, Elvis and, Maria Callas, all emblematic artists that passed away and inspire her. The theme of the collection dates from late 60’s early 70’s, and proposes ready to wear creations as well as Couture pieces.

The glamour of Maria Callas with her signature pencil skirt, the embellished fabrics and bold jewelry, all translate into rich jacquard fabrics and silhouettes used in the collection. Elvis’s sensual velvety voice and his charismatic appearance as remembered at its peak in the year 1968 come back as a strong presence throughout the line in different elements. To incorporate an even more rock edge to the collection, images of the “lizard King” Jim Morrison appear all through the collection.

The Fall Winter Jasmin Santanen’s collection titled “Stage Fever” portraits a glamorous life in the limelight and tragedy in the background. The simplicity and sensitivity remain through the use of light and delicate materials such as silks and lace often with various embroideries. More daring prints and rougher embellishments enhance the tragedy of stardom. Those rock and classical legends and their charismatic appearance that has touched and moved so many are carried out through the entire line.
