GARDEN OF EDEN

Couturier Zuhair Murad is in a state of grace, his imagination more fertile than ever, delivering a gorgeous bouquet of tempting creations inspired by the mystic original garden, its flora, its fauna and its luxuriance. For Spring-Summer 2014, Nature is aglow with bountiful smiles.

Second Nature

A treasure house of enchantment, the collection is a cornucopia of camellias, roses, sweetbriar, peonies, gentian, and laurel with, here and there, a lithe touch of the feline and the caress of heavenly plumage. The silhouette is wreathed in loose, flowing draping, lace, embroidery and appliqués – in all the delicacy of the most idyllic of perfumed gardens.

A hothouse of chic and charm

Morning comes, and the day unfolds with pencil skirt suits, jumpsuits and loose-fitting trousers, boleros, tops, and snug basque jackets, speaking volumes of tactful self-assurance. For blissful happy hours and long into the night, unblushing femininity is wreathed in a whisper of extreme refinement: graceful charm or untrammelled glamour in long or short flared dresses and clinging sheaths.

A riot of colour

For daytime, a grounding of timeless black, white and ivory sets the tone: composed, self-assured. For the evening or the red carpet, the festive palette is out of a subtly magical paintbox, morphing from Parma violet to peach, and from rose to mimosa and almond blossom. From morning dew to sunset and beyond, shades bountiful and sequined shimmer and discreetly glitter.

An outpouring of joy

Opulent, willowy dreams in a profusion of crepe, organza, shantung, tulle, guipure, lace, embroidery, satin appliqué, leather and feathers: fabrics and materials are blithely ethereal, transporting the soul.

All hail the radiant bride!

The memorable grand finale: a showering of 25,000 blooms – poppies, gentians, daffodils, roses, and peonies create a floral train in an explosion of sheer ecstasy. A show-stopping, ravishingly radiant, bridal entrance…
